The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2018

PROFILE

Current residence: Poway, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to advance my career as a public or academic librarian.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

my husband, family, and friends. I also had a sense that each professor I had wanted me to succeed as well.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

all over the world and several who were close enough to meet with in person.

What I liked best about online learning was:

learning at my own pace on my own time schedule. I also used technology in ways I hadn't before.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I always felt that I was part of a student community and not learning in isolation.

I plan to use my degree to:

become a public or academic librarian.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

putting what I have learned into practice and reading for pleasure again.
