PROFILE

Current residence: Plattsmouth, NE, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to become a full-time librarian as well as to provide an example for my children as they entered college.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family. Joe, Erika, Alexandria, Isaac, Sylvia, Sam, Karen Dorner (Mom) and Anna Hartmann. Friends, Lynece and Erin.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Canada, California, Delaware, Michigan, and Texas.

What I liked best about online learning was:

I liked learning online so that I could study and complete work at the odd hours my schedule demanded.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

You don't know what you don't know until you learn it. I most liked learning new things that I was able to apply to my job in a meaningful way immediately.

I plan to use my degree to:

I have been promoted to the Teen Services Librarian at the Council Bluffs Public Library. I plan to seek a management position. I look forward to being a part of the ever-changing landscape of librarianship.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Now that I have completed the program I am most looking forward to taking a real lunch break away from my desk. I will read for fun again. I will spend time with family and friends.
