PROFILE

Current residence: Tigard, OR, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I was looking for a change in career. I love books and libraries so it makes sense that this would be the best program for me.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family--Allen, Emilie, Xavier, Maya, Mom, Dad, and Matt. Additionally, I have an amazing support group at work.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the United States!

What I liked best about online learning was:

The ability to learn on my schedule. Working two jobs and raising a family is difficult. I could never have done this in a traditional classroom setting.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The variety of classes SJSU had to offer. There are many pathways available for students to follow, but they are not set in stone. There are many electives to appeal to different types of information professionals.

I plan to use my degree to:

Advance my career in the library. I can't wait to apply my education and experience to wherever I may end up in the library.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Rest! Spending time with family and friends. Enjoying a good book and binge watching TV shows. I have a lot of catching up to do.
