PROFILE

Current residence: Angola, NY, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to fulfill my dream of making a difference as a librarian in a public library.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

Definitely my parents, co-workers and my e-portfolio advisor Dr. Hansen! Without their support, I never would have made it through the last few semesters!

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the world! Just to name a handful off the top of my head:
-California
-Japan
-Lebanon
-Maryland
-Massachusetts
-Missouri
-New York
-North Carolina
-Ontario, Canada
-Oregon
-Switzerland
-Texas
-Utah
-Washington

What I liked best about online learning was:

For the most part, not having to be in class at a set time and place! The flexibility to tackle assignments at your own pace throughout the week was invaluable!

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Meeting classmates from all around the world! It would make group projects a bit difficult from time to time, especially when you're working with people from halfway across the world, but the benefits of gaining perspectives from outside of your area far outweighed any inconvenience or difficulty!

I plan to use my degree to:

Hopefully, pursue public librarianship, but I'm trying my best to keep my mind open to other opportunities as they may appear.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Finding my place in the world and making a difference! Though to be honest not taking on any more student loan debt is pretty good too!
