The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2018

PROFILE

Current residence: Blonay, Switzerland

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I was interested by the opportunities offered by the library and information science field. The masters program provides a broad range of skills on which to ground a career working to support the ideals of intellectual freedom, and to nurture a society of lifelong learners.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband, Olle, who cheered for me the whole way. Also, my late mother-in-law and father-in-law deserve a big acknowledgement. Without their foresight and selflessness, this would not have been possible.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the world: Korea, Russia, Panama, Alaska- you name it!

What I liked best about online learning was:

I could work at my own pace and create my own schedule. (Fast, and all the time :) )

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I enjoyed the intellectual stimulation provided by the demanding material.

I plan to use my degree to:

Pursue a career as a librarian.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Not working when I'm not working.
