The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2018

PROFILE

Current residence: Boston, MA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I love working in libraries. I was already working in the library field as a paraprofessional and wanted to further advance my career.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My colleagues and Library Director at the library where I worked. They never hesitated to support me in any way they could. Also, my classmates Anne Rappe and Miranda Clody, who I was so grateful to meet during this degree process.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Hawai'i, Virginia, California, Germany, Japan, and more!

What I liked best about online learning was:

Being able to complete a challenging and well-taught degree program while continuing to work in my career field. Online learning allowed me to do everything I wanted to do!

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The wonderful teachers I had classes with along the way!

I plan to use my degree to:

look for a new position in the library field that challenges and excites me!

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

The new career opportunities I will have with my new degree!
