The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2018

PROFILE

Current residence: Wauconda, IL, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I love school and learning and knew that this degree would be important to advance my career interests in becoming a professional librarian.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My amazing boyfriend Cody, my mom, sister, and Bubbe. My colleagues at my library have also been instrumental in supporting me and cheering me on through this process.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the country! Most of my classmates were from California, but I even got to connect with people from the Chicago area and have even met some of them in person!

What I liked best about online learning was:

The flexibility and the chance to get to meet so many amazing colleagues and faculty members from around the country.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Getting to learn about so many varied topics from Drupal to online searching to children's literature. I am a better librarian having taken such a wide array of classes.

I plan to use my degree to:

Further the profession and to perform excellent service for library users.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Having the free time to read and play video games, and hopefully do some traveling!
