The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2018

PROFILE

Current residence: Elyria, OH, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I’ve wanted to be a librarian and archivist my entire life.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband and my kids who patiently waited all these years for me to finish and gave me the space and time I needed to complete my coursework.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the States, Canada and one from South Korea.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The asynchronous schedule that gave me the freedom to work on my own schedule.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The many team-based projects and the Codicology and Paleography intensive courses.

I plan to use my degree to:

Advance within the workforce and join an archival team or work as a K-12 Library Media Specialist.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Returning to the workforce using the skills that I have learned through this program.
