The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2018

PROFILE

Current residence: Rainier, WA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I'm at the midpoint of my career. I believe that professional development is important and this gave me an opportunity to expand and deepen my knowledge, learn new skills, and prepare for the second half of my career. The degree opens up options for the future.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family. Working full time and going to school as a full-time student it was extremely helpful to have that support.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the world, from different backgrounds and experiences.

What I liked best about online learning was:

Being able to fit it around everything else in my life.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Learning new things! Despite working in libraries for twenty-five years there is so much to learn.

I plan to use my degree to:

Further my career in a variety of directions.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

More time to spend with my family, to read books I haven't had a chance to read yet, and to use what I've learned in my professional life.
