Current residence: Omaha, NE, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I've wanted to be a librarian since I was a little kid. I fell in love with books and reading at my local public library, and knew that I wanted to give that opportunity to others. Completing my MLIS has given me the tools to make a difference in my community.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

I cannot thank my parents enough for their support. They encourage me daily to pursue my dreams and make my mark on the world. I'd also like to thank my wonderful partner, Scott.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

I've met people from all over the world! One of the great things about this program is its ability to bring all kinds of different people together.

What I liked best about online learning was:

I loved the flexibility. I could do coursework from anywhere at anytime. This gave me the ability to work a full-time job, have time for family/friends, and complete me coursework on time.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I loved the course variety and amazing instructors.

I plan to use my degree to:

I plan to use this degree to serve my community. Whether it's in an academic, public, or special library, I'm not yet sure.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

I'm looking forward to not being a student anymore! 20 years of schooling is enough for me!
