The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2018

PROFILE

Current residence: Saint Helena, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I had two prior MA's before starting this program--in Educational Leadership and Educational Technology. The MLIS program was by far the richest and most life-changing of them all - opened many new horizons for me as a person and as an information professional.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

First and foremost, my family. My employer funded the vast majority of my fees during the program - a rarity in this day and age.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the world!

What I liked best about online learning was:

The interactive strategies used in the iSchool courses made the learning process very personal.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Networking with information professionals from a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds.

I plan to use my degree to:

To create rich and innovative information sciences programming - and to pursue my new passion - digital assets management.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Seeing where the information sciences profession will take me - so many exciting options. Thanks to everyone in the iSchool!!
