The degree of

Virtual Convocation

PROFILE

Current residence: Augusta, GA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to earn a masters degree in order to change career fields. I have always dreamed of being a librarian and this was just a natural fit for me and my family. SJSU has opened up many doors for my future.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband and son.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Turkey, Ireland, California, Texas, Tennessee.

What I liked best about online learning was:

I liked being able to go at my own pace. If I needed further instruction, I could reach out to fellow classmates or my professor or I could go deeper into the course materials on my own. I also needed the flexibility of moving state to state due to my husbands military career.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Proving to myself that I could obtain a higher degree as a working mom married to an active duty soldier.

I plan to use my degree to:

To work in a special library, preferably a Federal Library.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Reading for pleasure!
