Current residence: Central, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I could not find a good position with just my Bachelors degree; and I never thought I would earn a masters degree. I set off to earn a masters degree for the purpose of finding a career that would support me and my family. I love books. It made sense to go after a masters degree in the field of library science, working with books and assisting other patrons in finding their informational materials.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were my brothers and my best friend. I do not know if I could have done this, earn a masters. without them behind me given support and words of encouragement. I also was determined to achieve my goal in finishing my degree.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

I had classmates from Canada, and from several of the United States as Virginia, New York, Illinois, and California.

What I liked best about online learning was:

I have to be honest, in the beginning I did not like online learning. I liked going to school, sitting in class, and fighting to find a parking place. As I continued to pursue my education in an online learning atmosphere. I got use to coming home from work and sitting at my computer to work on my assignments.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I most enjoyed most about my experience at SJSU would be my classes in the preservation and conservation of library materials. The details in the preservation process is very interesting. I also enjoyed planning out children's programs, and creating reading lists for different genres.

I plan to use my degree to:

I plan to use my degree to make a positive contribution to the county public library as a librarian in assisting patrons with informational needs, answering their questions,and be an active listener.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

I look forward to working in my county public library and utilize my degree and the knowledge from my education.
