I completed my bachelor's degree in 2014 and it just seemed like the next logical step. When I went back to school to complete my bachelor's degree in 2009, it was because of a desire to finish what I had started nearly 20 years earlier. I had a similar desire to get a master's degree; I just felt like I wasn't finished completing my education, that there was more out there for me to accomplish.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My husband and my son. They were both so supportive of me as I worked towards my degree. I couldn't ask for two better people to have by my side.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
All across the United States and Canada.
What I liked best about online learning was:
Learning online is so flexible; it allowed me to get the degree that I needed, on my own time, even though there are no MLIS programs in my area.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
Meeting and interacting with all of the great professors and students that I encountered throughout my time at SJSU.
I plan to use my degree to:
Begin my career as an information professional, either in a library or an archive setting.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
Starting my career as a librarian. And catching up on lots and lots of hours of lost sleep.
