It was a pleasure having you as a student. I am certain you will go on to do great things with kids and stories and books.
Beth Wrenn-Estes:
Thomas - I absolutely loved having you as a student. You are a gifted young man Thomas and I hope you continue to tell stories, stay as exited as you are about librarianship and continue to make others want to work as hard as you do. Please keep in touch - I'll be watching your star continue to shine!
Janice Christen-Whitney :

PROFILE
Current residence: Richmond, CA, US
I wanted to earn a masters degree because:
This journey at SJSU reinforced my belief that my professional values strongly align with the core values of this field. I am excited to help patrons in public libraries by connecting them with the information they seek. I also have a passion for designing, planning and presenting fun and engaging programs for children of all ages.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
To deliver high quality programs and services in libraries, one must first learn to stand on the shoulders of academic experts. I am deeply grateful for each pair of shoulders that have lifted me higher in my educational journey. Many of these shoulders belong to my gifted teachers at SJSU. Special thanks to Linda Main, Beth Wrenn-Estes, Jennifer Jumba, Debra Hansen, and Joanie Bodart. Thanks as well to my professional mentors Patrick Remer, Amy Mockoski, Lynne Noone, Sierra Campana, Gail McPartland, Francis Adebola-Wilson and Heidi Goldstein.<br />

For supporting my choice to make this mid-life career change, I want to thank my wonderful family (especially my Mom, Dad, Steve, Mike, Lori, Rhonda, Bo, Joanie, Carol, Jim, Tommy, Amy and all my nieces, nephews and cousins). I also want to thank my golden friends Frankie, Sue, Ross, Eric, Martha and Christian. Finally, special thanks to thank my best friend Joey.
