I wanted to further my career opportunities in library and information science.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My wife, family, friends, and co-workers. Everyone was truly supportive.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
All over the world. I also met a few classmates who were close enough to meet for drinks or coffee, which was wonderful.
What I liked best about online learning was:
Its convenience. The online courses allowed me to move across the U.S. while in the program and work any hours I chose. But I also believe that the asynchronous nature of the courses allowed there to be amazing professors from around the world, untethered to a specific schedule, teaching a wider variety of specializations.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
The variety of courses available was amazing, and I felt fortunate to have such excellent professors, most of whom went out of their way to make the lessons useful and interesting, and also responded to questions and concerns very quickly.
I plan to use my degree to:
Expand my career opportunities in libraries and pursue an archiving career.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
Reading for enjoyment, enjoying not having deadlines, and pursuing career opportunities.
