The degree of

Virtual Convocation

PROFILE

Current residence: Arvin, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to gain knowledge about how to best help students in my community develop lifelong reading and research skills.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My four daughters and husband. They were patient with me while I worked on homework during ballet lessons and other activities.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the United States. I really got to know a classmate in Colorado.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The flexibility of being able to complete assignments, read the information, and watch any lectures or tutorials at times that were most convenient for me, which tended to be in the evenings after work.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I enjoyed learning about the various opportunities available through the librarian pathways.

I plan to use my degree to:

As a teacher-librarian.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

continuing to apply some of the skills and knowledge I learned from my classes, such as creating a school library website.
