PROFILE

Current residence: Norco, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I would like to progress in my career as an information professional. The work that information professionals do in their communities can make all the difference in someone's life. I wanted to make sure I had the tools to provide the best help I can.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My friends, my coworkers, and members of REFORMA IE.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

all over. In particular, I enjoyed hearing anecdotes about the experiences my peers had in their own libraries and the goals that they have set for their own careers.

What I liked best about online learning was:

the ability to set my own schedule and work on my degree from all over. I had lots of emergencies during the program that required travel and the asynchronous nature of many of my courses helped me stay on track.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

learning through projects, hands on assignments, and recorded lectures gave me the best opportunity to learn about the topics that mattered to me and my career the most.

I plan to use my degree to:

move into a role as an academic librarian and work with students, staff, and faculty on their research and learning needs.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

some time off.
