I have always been brought up to value my education, and to explore opportunities for growth. When I decided I wanted to pursue a career in Libraries, I decided to pursue a degree so that I could have as well rounded of an understanding of the field as possible, and also because it was required for all of the jobs I wanted!
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My biggest supporters were my family and my significant other. It was thanks to them that I was able to focus on my education, and had the ongoing love and support I needed to get through my program.<br />

I am also grateful to my grandparents, all of whom were lifelong learners and educators who served as role models for me from an early age about the importance of education and social service.

What I liked best about online learning was:
I really appreciated the flexibility of the program. It allowed students to work at their own pace, and I was also able to continue exploring the profession and still have time to live my life outside of school and work.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
I loved getting the chance to work with other people who cared about the same things as me, and hearing their perspectives on LIS.

I want to use my degree to pursue work in both public libraries, and in furthering LIS education for future generations. Library and Information Sciences are crucial in maintaining people's standards of living, rights, and social services.
