PROFILE

Current residence: Nashville, TN, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I want to become a Children's Librarian and eventually a Library Manager or Director, so that I can serve the community to the best of my ability.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband, Caleb, and my daughter, Charleigh, were my shining light - always encouraging me with unfailing faith. My coworkers, supervisor, and manager were also all so supportive of me and my goals. Lisa, I never would have dreamed of a mentor as wonderful as you have been for me. Thank you for having my back 100% of the time.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

I met classmates from all over the US, as well as Canada, Mexico, and China.

What I liked best about online learning was:

I was able to work full-time, be a mom and a wife, and still go to school. I couldn't have done it any other way!

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I honestly loved my classes! The coursework was immediately applicable, which has made a huge impact on my career already.

I plan to use my degree to:

I am currently a Children's Library Associate at the Nashville Public Library and I plan to continue my work with NPL as a Children's Librarian.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

continuing my journey as a librarian and serving my community!
