I wanted to further my education and learn more about a field that has interested me my entire life. I was excited to discover the opportunities out there for medical and health sciences librarianship and wanted to further my knowledge of how librarians could support the work of health care practitioners.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
my family and friends! Thank you to all who cheered me on, listened to me talk about the cool stuff I was learning about, and understood when I couldn't make plans because I had to finish an assignment or project. Love you all and can't wait to continue talking your ears off about the wonders of librarianship <3
What I liked best about online learning was:
the flexibility that it offered so that I could complete my degree while still working a full-time job!
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
getting to know my classmates through class discussions, group projects and the SLA Student Chapter. With a virtual program, I wasn't sure how much I would get to interact with my fellow students, but I really enjoyed the opportunity to work with and get to know people who share the same interests and passion for librarianship.
I plan to use my degree to:
work in the field of medical and health sciences librarianship and provide health care professionals with the information and resources to support evidence based practice.
