The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2023

PROFILE

Current residence: Pacific, WA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I want to continue to learn and grow, I was fascinated to learn more about library science, and I want to serve the community through the library.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

my husband Jake, my sister Robin, and my parents Nancy and Stephen.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Washington, California, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and many other places.

What I liked best about online learning was:

the flexibility of the schedule and the many different types of assignments.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Connecting with so many other students and learning from their different experiences and perspectives.

I plan to use my degree to:

advance my career in the library field and try working in a public or academic library.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

being able to use what I have learned to help improve libraries and serve their communities.
