I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

it helped me gain specialized knowledge which allows me to advance in this field to serve my community.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband, my daughters, my parents, family, friends, and co-workers.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

United States, Canada, and Asia

What I liked best about online learning was:

Easy access, clear design, and helpful resources.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The ability to connect (network) with current and future library staff as well as the wonderful faculty.

I plan to use my degree to:

Following the Leadership and Management MLIS Career Pathway, I have gained more of an understanding of collection design, programs and services to address those in need, and to assess the impact of these services on the well-being of our community. The skills I have learned will enable me to be flexible and effectively apply my technical skills, and demonstrate the value of my work and organization using a variety of techniques, which include marketing, promotion and assessment.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Applying and demonstrating the skills that I have learned to better serve my community.
