PROFILE

Current residence: State College, PA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I enjoy working in academic libraries, and believe that the information professions are a fulfilling pursuit for me.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My wife and my Mom.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the country and beyond, including some who are also near my current residence on the east coast!

What I liked best about online learning was:

How it fosters and builds on a student's ability to manage time well.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Researching information communities that I know and love, and adding my own contributions to them, such as via a historic timeline or research paper.

I plan to use my degree to:

Become a faculty librarian at one or several academic institutions, and eventually become a library administrator.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Attending ALA and ACRL conferences, finding work that allows me to apply my learning in a fulfilling way, and catching up on my hobbies that had to fall to the wayside while I was an MLIS student.
