The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2025

PROFILE

Current residence: Richmond, ME, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to get even more job opportunities in the field of library science and to learn even more skills relating to librarianship.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My parents, who have supported me in furthering my education, and loved me.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Group projects that we were assigned to do and some of the discussion posts we made.

What I liked best about online learning was:

Is that it was convenient, I live in Maine which is three hours ahead of California, so I could just go to my online classes, and be able to study without needing to go cross country to attend the classes.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Was the teachers and the classmates who I worked with on group projects. Everyone has been very kind to me and whenever I had a problem the teachers have been very kind in answering my questions. While the classmates I talked with have been so much fun and made doing group projects exciting.

I plan to use my degree to:

Find some library jobs in my state of Maine that will be (ideally) near my hometown of Richmond, Maine.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

I am looking forward to utilizing the skills I have gained to help the future library that I will be working at. Whether it is creating fun programs for demographics to working with other librarians on various duties.
