PROFILE

Current residence: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I’ve always believed in the power of information to improve lives, and this degree felt like the right path to channel that belief, especially into fields like healthcare, where information can directly impact outcomes and well-being.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband and two children were my biggest cheerleaders. Their encouragement kept me going through late nights and tight deadlines. I’m also grateful to my professors and classmates who offered support and inspiration throughout the program.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

They were mostly from the States. It was inspiring to learn alongside people from different time zones, cultures, and professional backgrounds. That global perspective really shaped how I think about information equity and user needs today.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The flexibility to learn at my own pace while balancing family life in Dubai. I could take my classes with me when we were traveling, or just adjusting to life’s curveballs. Online learning also made me more independent as a learner.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The freedom to tailor my coursework to align with my interests, especially data analytics and digital asset management. I loved how theory met practice through projects and assignments.

I plan to use my degree to:

Bridge the gap between data and decision-making in the healthcare field. With my skills in data analytics, I hope to support more informed, efficient, and patient-centered care.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Diving into work that has real-world impact—ideally at the intersection of healthcare, data, and information management. I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned, continue growing, and contribute to a field that’s both challenging and deeply rewarding.
