PROFILE

Current residence: Anaheim, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I felt a calling to go back to my roots and reconnect with my home away from home, the library.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My mom, Lucia; my dad, Fidel; my partner, Caroline, and the various public libraries in my community.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

all over the United States. Even one in Germany!

What I liked best about online learning was:

the ability to work at my own pace. I had the flexibility of being able to stay within my local community and continue going to school.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

the depth of information that one could learn and apply in practical situations at the professional level.

I plan to use my degree to:

engage in community bridging and building within public libraries.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

sleeping. And becoming an actual librarian.
