Current residence: San Francisco, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I will be the first person in my immediate family to earn a Master's degree. I am thankful for my mom instilling in me to go after my dreams. I'm looking forward to helping my community.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My partner, Catherina; the greatest long distance besties a girl could have, Aud and Zhane; my goth cheerleaders Destiny and Ingrid, and my momma all the way in Georgia, Mary Ella!

While in the program, I met classmates from:

The San Francisco Bay Area. I was a regular session student so we were all local!

What I liked best about online learning was:

Getting to gain experience in the profession via Teacher Librarianship while earning my degree asynchronously. It was helpful to work on grad school from anywhere, on my own schedule, so I could continue to work full time.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

the expertise of professors and the relevancy of coursework.

I plan to use my degree to:

be an elementary teacher librarian or a youth services public librarian!

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Having some free time again. :)
