The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation

PROFILE

Current residence: Markham, Canada

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

It opens up opportunities and pathways in the field of librarianship.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family, friend and colleague Sydney, my friends and manager at work.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

From both East and West Coasts--and even someone from my town! (who'd formerly worked at my current library)

What I liked best about online learning was:

The ability to learn at my own pace, and being able to easily fit my coursework and deadlines with my work schedule.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Being able to pick plenty of elective courses that fit my passions and interests; I was able to pursue my interests in preservation, digitization, and manuscripts, for example.

I plan to use my degree to:

Further my career and apply what I have learned to my career--allowing me to be an even more effective librarian.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Relaxing for a bit, perhaps going on vacation... and then seeing what doors open for me now that I've completed my degree.
