PROFILE

Current residence: Lenox, MA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I loved the work I was doing while acting as an assistant librarian at a fashion/design college. I wanted to get my MLIS because I wanted to continue working with interesting collections and people through teaching, swapping stories, sharing knowledge and ideas, and keeping information open and accessible.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

All my friends, family and colleagues, especially my boyfriend, my former coworkers at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (SF Library) and my fellows cohort and mentors at Dance Heritage Coalition.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

all different backgrounds - ranging from museums, schools and even NASA!

What I liked best about online learning was:

the flexibility and freedom.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

being able to customize my workload and dabble in a variety of areas in the LIS field.

I plan to use my degree to:

build amazing collections and communities.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

continuing my education while on the job and exploring this creative field!
