Virtual Convocation
2017

PROFILE

Current residence: Studio City, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I want to serve my community as a professional librarian and a digital archivist.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family, colleagues, and friends.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Different states across the United States and beyond.

What I liked best about online learning was:

Self-paced mode of learning from the comfort of my own home.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I enjoyed the opportunity to apply my learning potential to the fullest, while acquiring the new knowledge, mastering new skills, and building meaningful academic relationships with my professors and my peers.

I plan to use my degree to:

I gravitate toward a blended librarianship profession—the kind of a career that combines elements of traditional librarianship as well as the skills of educators and technologists.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Matching my MLIS skills to the information needs of today, at the intersections of the librarianship theory, praxis, and the global learning community.
