The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2017

PROFILE

Current residence: Stickney, IL, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I've been working at my public library since I was 19, and I would love to do more for my library, and to do so, I needed to learn more and advance my knowledge set.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My mom Sue, my sister Jen, my dad Martin and my friends Kelly and Ambrosia, as well as my administrator Heather and my boss Mark. Everyone has been so supportive, and I am greatly thankful for all of them.

What I liked best about online learning was:

No public transit needed. That was one of my biggest time wasters in my undergrad, and if not for online learning, I don't think I'd be able to complete a master's degree without the time I saved from not having to commute.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

I look forward to what lies ahead. Even though it's been confirmed that I have earned my degree, it is still surreal.
