PROFILE

Current residence: Laguna Hills, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to further my education in a profession that I loved. I also wanted to learn, how to be more effective as an information professional. In addition, I wanted to challenge and prove to myself that I could earn a graduate degree.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

Both my immediate and extended family. But my greatest supporters were my mom and dad, and my two best friends: my brother and sister.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the United States, a few from Europe, and one from Japan.

What I liked best about online learning was:

I learned how to become better at time management.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

When done right, working in groups with my peers was actually the best experience at the SJSU School of Information. I learned the most when I worked well with my group members, and I was lucky in that the great majority of my experiences working in groups were positive.

I plan to use my degree to:

Help connect people to information, that will help them improve their overall well-being and situation.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Looking for work in a public library, hopefully as a youth services librarian.
