The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2017

PROFILE

Current residence: Sacramento, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I didn't have any prior experience in libraries when I decided on this career path, so I wanted to learn what librarianship could be. I'm so glad I went back to school, because my career direction has completely expanded.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

my parents, my roomie, and my boyfriend. Love you all!

What I liked best about online learning was:

the flexibility it allowed, and the fact that I was forced to learn a variety of new technologies.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

discovering new interests! I never thought I would be so intrigued by the mess that we call copyright law.

I plan to use my degree to:

become a librarian who uses emerging technologies to enhance public access to information and resources.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

reading for fun!
