The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2017

PROFILE

Current residence: Sundre, Canada

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

While I had been a public library director for four years, I wanted to move on in my career and keep learning.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My mother and my peers at the Olds College Learning Commons and the Olds Municipal Library.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

The US, Japan, and other locations in Canada.

What I liked best about online learning was:

Not having to pay residency costs in another city on top of a mortgage back home.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Researching the history of books and libraries, I also enjoyed cataloguing... but I am told that is weird.

I plan to use my degree to:

Relaunch my career in the larger library community.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Finding employment that will enable me to explore more of the world and work with libraries in a new location.
