PROFILE

Current residence: Warrensburg, MO, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted the professional training and foundational skills of librarianship to make my impact more meaningful and helpful to my community.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My sweet, selfless husband Tyler who always made sure I had the mental, physical, and emotional capacity to persevere, and my cheerleader sister Tiara who celebrates my accomplishments with more gusto than they probably deserve.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

California, Nebraska, Oregon, Illinois, Missouri, Texas... hard to remember them all!

What I liked best about online learning was:

Being able to move across the country, change jobs, have a baby, buy a house, and never worry about missing out on dynamic educational and social experiences in my coursework.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The brilliant professors who pushed me to challenge my thinking and create works I didn't think I was capable of creating.

I plan to use my degree to:

Continue bringing evidence-based programming and other ideas from 21st century libraries to the staff and patrons at my library... while hopefully earning a bigger paycheck!

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Doing almost any recreational activity without homework guilt!
