I earned this masters degree in order to work as an information professional in the public library setting. I am also proud to be the first person in my family to earn a masters degree.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My biggest supporters were my husband and two children, my extended family, friends, and colleagues.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
New York, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, and many other places!
What I liked best about online learning was:
I liked online learning because it provided me with the ability to complete the program virtually, allowing me to better balance school, family, and work. Otherwise, it would have been much more difficult and stressful!
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
I enjoyed learning from my amazing professors, access to the King Library databases (yes, I will miss them!), and meeting/collaborating with cohorts from all walks of life, from all over the nation.
I plan to use my degree to:
I plan to use my degree to obtain a position as a children's or a young adult librarian in the public library.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
Spending time with my family, sewing, crafting, baking cookies and cakes, reading for pleasure, watching movies, walking on the beach, and just seeing what the future holds for me professionally.
