The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2019

PROFILE

Current residence: Olympia, WA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I have always known that I wanted to be a librarian

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband and two young daughters

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Seattle, Los Angeles, Houston, Boston and San Francisco

What I liked best about online learning was:

The flexibility. I have two young children and a full time job, and if not for the flexibility of the online format I would not have been able to obtain my educational goals.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The new and innovative library techniques and practices that are being implemented.

I plan to use my degree to:

Ultimately become head of collections services for a busy public library.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Spending my evenings and weekends with my family for a change, and obtaining a great new library position.
