The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2019

PROFILE

Current residence: Santa Rosa, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I love learning and it will enable me to move from library assistant to librarian.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

my family, my coworkers and my classmates.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

all over the world! Most of my classmates hailed from North America though.

What I liked best about online learning was:

It gave me the flexibility to work full time and spend time with my family in addition to studying.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

support from my classmates and teachers. I especially appreciated the professors that had office hours, like Vicki Steiner.

I plan to use my degree to:

work in a public library. I will probably stay in youth services but am open to other areas as well.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Obtaining a librarian position and implementing all that I learned at the ischool!
