PROFILE
Current residence: Xenia, OH, US
I wanted to earn a masters degree because:
I wanted to help people connect to information. I love learning and I want to encourage others to do the same.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My parents, my sister, and my husband were all my greatest fans while I was in school. I am also very grateful for employers who helped me and encouraged me to continue in my program.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
I loved meeting people all over the US. I had groupmates from California and Canada.
What I liked best about online learning was:
I was able to set a pace for when I wanted to get things done. I also was able to work full time while taking classes to help pay for the education.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
I loved being able to learn from great professors and instructors. Even though they were virtual, I felt like I could reach out to them if I needed too. They were always an email away.
I plan to use my degree to:
I will work in a public library as an Adult Services Librarians, connecting people to resources, giving readers avisory, and planning programming. I love this job and I'm so thankful I get to do it.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
I am excited that I am a professional with a professional degree. I worked hard and now I have something to show for it.
