I wanted to earn a masters degree because:
I wanted to broaden my education, increase my skills and use my brain in different ways than I had during my long career as photography editor.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My family. I would like to dedicate my MLIS degree to my father who recently passed away. He taught me more than he’ll ever know.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
Colorado, Washington, California and all over.
What I liked best about online learning was:
Collaborating with multiple teams by utilizing a range of contemporary online communication tools. I also like having the ability to pause online lectures, and copy the transcripts to use as notes.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
I really enjoyed both of my internships, collaborating with great classmates, and learning from talented and interesting instructors.
I plan to use my degree to:
The driving force that initially interested me in the MLIS program was to learn skills to archive photography collections, create finding aids, exhibits and guides to increase interest and accessibility. In addition, I am interested in pursuing a wide range of opportunities in libraries and other information organizations.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
