PROFILE

Current residence: Rochester, MN, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

This has been a personal goal I have had for several years. I look forward to being able to meet the information needs of user communities.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My partner Jose, and our very special cat, Hobbes; also my family and friends.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the world! It was fun to get to know people from diverse backgrounds and to connect with fellow classmates locally as well as globally.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The convenience of being able to plan around my work and personal schedules.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Challenging myself to learn new things.

I plan to use my degree to:

Ideally, working in an archive, but I will be happy to be involved in any type of information organization.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Spending time with family, catching up with friends, going to concerts, gardening, volunteer opportunities and reading a large collection of books I have been putting aside for the past few years.
