I wanted to earn a masters degree because:
I wanted to make a change in my career and I knew that going back to and getting my masters could help with pursuing a career as a librarian.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My greatest supporters were my parents Juan and Diana Garza, my husband Jeff Bruder and my two children Penelope and Jeffrey. Without their encouraging support, I don't know if I could have done it without them.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
I met a lot of great classmates from all over the United States, there are some classmates that I hope to keep in touch with. <br />
What I liked best about online learning was:
What I liked the best about the online learning program was that I was able to do my school work on my own time.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
I enjoyed all the courses that I took here at SJSU, what I have learned from each class was more than what I expected that I would learn. The courses I took I feel will be beneficial for my career as an information professional.
I plan to use my degree to:
I started the course in the hope of becoming a youth service librarian, but after working in an academic library and taking a couple of classes geared towards this field I plan to work in an academic library as a reference librarian.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
I am looking forward to starting my next step in my career, and I am looking forward to spending more time with my family again.
