Current residence: Northridge, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

after working in a school library for many years I want to be able to serve more people in public libraries.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

family. Especially my husband who did everything he could to allow me to get my schoolwork done, taking over many of my duties.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

mostly CA, but there were some from Canada and Florida as well. I went to Prague with a UNC seminar and the majority of the group were from SJSU. That was an amazing experience.

What I liked best about online learning was:

the flexibility needed to attend school while working and having a family.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

applying what I learned during my summer internship. It helped me see and understand I had learned everything I need to work in the public library.

I plan to use my degree to:

work in my local public libraries.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

using what I have learned to serve children in my community.
