PROFILE

Current residence: Menlo Park, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to better serve my community, where I have worked as a Library Assistant I for 19.5 years.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

I have to thank my sister for always cooking extra so that I can focus on my studies. My parents, although always worried that I missed a lot of family functions supported me every step of the way. My brothers always encouraged me.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over. It was interesting having to figure out our schedules during group projects. Somehow we made it work.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The self-pace school work between assignment due dates.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Many may disagree, only because of the amount of writing. But, I really enjoyed writing my statements of competency for my ePortfolio.

I plan to use my degree to:

Help my community thrive in a technology-driven world.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Starting my new job as a Children's Librarian. My first day will be April 29, 2019.
