I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

As the first person in my family to have graduated from high school, I never thought it was possible. But after having my son, I knew I needed to provide him as much as I could and going to school was the way to do it.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

Joe and Henry. My gratitude is deep and abiding.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over North America.

What I liked best about online learning was:

Like so many others have said: the flexibility. I spent my entire college career as an online student. I wouldn't have been able to attend otherwise.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The ability to make connections with classmates through student chapters, and the opportunity to write about the wonderful and varied accomplishments of my peers and instructors. Those experiences are invaluable to me. And Dr. Leigh Gleason's Managing Photographic Collections course is still, hands down, my favorite.

I plan to use my degree to:

Continue working as an academic librarian.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Eventually taking a real vacation.
