GUEST BOOK

Dr. Pat Franks: Congratulations, Laurie, on completing the MARA degree. It can't have been easy, even though your four children are grown. It's good to hear your family and friends were supportive. Good luck to you "wherever life leads you."

Pary Tell: Congratulations!!!! I know how hard you worked for this. May your passion take you to your dream job☺

Mom and Dad : To the little girl who didn't want to go out to play and insisted on reading instead and who took the book outside to read instead. I love being your Mom. I loved that you took to the books with avarice throughout your life. You are a woman of amazing intelligence and have a lot to share.

Sarah Deshusses-Alvarez: The thought she could, so she did. I hope you’re as proud of yourself as I am of you.

PROFILE

Current residence: Cape May, NJ, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

Archives and history have always been my passion. I put my desires last behind the needs of my family, with my four children grown it was my turn.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family... my parents...and my dear friends. They were the smile of encouragement that kept me going, voice in my head when I doubted I could finish, and the sounding board when I struggled with a concept. They will always be in every beat of my heart.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Every career field.

What I liked best about online learning was:

It gave me the latitude to continue working two jobs and still achieve my dream.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

While I never met them face to face, every classmate and professor enriched my life in some fashion.

I plan to use my degree to:

Further my career.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Celebrating where life leads me.
