The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2019

PROFILE

Current residence: Trabuco Canyon, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I'm ready to take the next step in my career after being a stay at home parent for several years.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband, Patrick, and my children, as well as my dear friend, Pamela. I am also grateful for the support and enthusiasm of my friends and family and the many other bibliophiles I encountered during my studies.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the US, Canada, and various other countries. It was also exciting to meet others in the program that live near me.

What I liked best about online learning was:

Being able to work on classes while my children were at school, while I was traveling, or any other place or time.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Learning that the library and information world is even more diverse, exciting, and interesting than I had imagined. The classes and instructors were great, and introduced me to so many wonderful resources.

I plan to use my degree to:

Become an awesome librarian at a community college or special library, or maybe a cataloger- there are so many options!

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Finding a great library job and really digging into it!
