Virtual Convocation
2019

PROFILE

Current residence: Willington, CT, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I want to contribute to the mission of making information and learning accessible and free to the public, as well as connecting the public with information that is accurate and truthful.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My fiancé, my parents, my brother and sister, and my adorable kitties.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Across the United States, Canada, South America, and the UK.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The flexibility of learning and being able to connect with people from around the world and learn together.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Learning how to determine if information is accurate and truthful, learning about coding and web design, learning how to effectively use social media, and discovering the many aspects that factor into collection development.

I plan to use my degree to:

Become an adult reference librarian in a public library setting.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Creating innovative programs and acquiring diverse books and other materials to serve the needs of patrons from diverse backgrounds in my future job.
