Current residence: Aurora, CO, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to further my education and be able to help people meet their information needs and beyond. The library provides so much more than just books and I am proud to be able to contribute to all it offers.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband, Joe, my parents and my mentors at work.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the United States and Canada.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The flexibility it allowed me in working full time while taking classes and learning and practicing career-applicable tech skills.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Meeting classmates and professors from around the country and learning about the vast career field of librarianship. Exploring topics such as early literacy and intellectual freedom helped me discover my passions in librarianship.

I plan to use my degree to:

Continue my work as a programming and outreach Librarian with Aurora Public Library.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Applying what I’ve learned in new ways in my career and continuing my education through professional development.
